Notes | Compared antipredator responses of coho salmon fry from wild stock vs. hatchery stock and found no difference. In discussing the possible reasons for the lack of difference between hatchery and wild stock behavior, the author makes some interesting observations about the history of Alsea River fisheries and cites a possible lack of genetic diversity due to a dam blocking the upper reaches of the river in the 1920s. |
