NotesFrom 1961-1976, Umpqua River sea-run cutthroat trout runs were supplemented with fish from the Alsea Fish Hatchery. Based on run-timing studies, the Alsea River fish did not successfully establish an independent population on the Umpqua River, but may have interbred with native fish, complicating the picture.
