NotesPublished in 1993. Pre-habitat modification studies began in 1988. Moon Creek and East Fork Lobster Creek were the unmodified controls. ~2.2 km. of East Creek were modified in the summer of 1990, and ~1.2 km of Upper Lobster Creek were modified in the summer of 1991. Alcoves were dug off the main channels and spanning logs were placed across the streams to make dam pools. Complex woody debris was added and trees planted in the riparian zone. The goal was to increase overwinter survival, believed to be the limiting factor for smolt production. The results showed "dramatic increases in the treatment streams following habitat modifications." Map, charts, tables.
