NotesStudied two streams in Washington state, Gnat Creek on the Columbia and Deer Creek, a tributary of the Alsea River. Estimates ideal no. (25-30) of spawning females for Deer Creek. Recommends 20-25 spawning fish per river mile for all streams. Appendix 1 gives current escapement goals for coastal watersheds (Alsea is 35,300).
