Notes"A fall spawning rainbox, probably from Roaring River, was brought to the Alsea Hatchery, Alsea, Oregon, in 1942. Characteristics of the stock were reported to be good growth and disease resistance ... However, there were disease problems in the Alsea River, and further stocking in the river was eventually discontinued... As late as 1946-47, some fish were still surviving in the river, reaching sizes of 61-66 cm (24-26") and 3.6-4.5 kg (8-10 lbs.)." (p.9-10)
