NotesThis Master’s thesis examines the Alsea River Basin in the early 1950s, from the days when Waldport could boast 690 residents. The emphasis is on economic activity, from farming to logging to recreational fisheries. There are numerous maps and bw photographs. Nice studies of individual farms and enterprises. If you care about the history of the Alsea Basin, you should look at this. Major porfessor was J. Granville Jensen.
