Notes | Studied plant communities near beaver dams in watersheds in the Lower Alsea Basin. There was a certain plant community bordering streams near beaver dams. More dams were found in areas with young timber, especially streams flanked by clearcuts or young stands. Beavers do not seem to dramatically alter plant communities. Co-major professors were David Hibbs and John P. Hayes. |
